The Minotaur is an 11 foot tall sculpture created for a New York City display. The sculpture was partially cnc produced and the finer details such as teeth, fingers, and skin texture were sculpted on by hand. My role was to design the outer coverage, fabricate and assemble the body, sculpt details on, and apply the outer coverage. For the final outer materials I chose rubber textures such as basketball pattern, bicycle tubes, and stretch rubber material along with an epoxy putty to sculpt teeth, fingers, and snout. I made press molds to give the fingers and snout a basketball texture.
